The MS816 cylinder lock offers a variety of material options to suit different application environments:

• Zinc alloy: The base and cylinder are often made of zinc alloy, with surfaces typically finished with plastic spraying (e.g., blue-gray) or chrome plating. Some steel bolts may be zinc-plated (white) for improved corrosion resistance.

2. Core Structure and Operating Principle

• Retractable/compressible design: A key feature of this lock is its retractable (compressible) function. When the door is closed, the latch automatically springs out and locks the door panel; by turning the handle or key, the lock produces a reciprocating extension/retraction action that pulls the door panel firmly inward.

• Rotary locking: The lock is typically opened or closed by turning the cylinder approximately 90° with a key or tool. Some models allow the direction of the steel bolt to be adjusted, enabling the lock to be used on both left- and right-hand doors.

3. Main Functions and Advantages

• Waterproof and shockproof: Because the lock tightly compresses the door panel when closed, effectively reducing the gap, it offers excellent waterproof, dustproof, and shockproof performance, preventing loosening caused by vibration.

• Easy installation: The triangular or square-head design generally fits standard cabinet door cutouts, allowing direct replacement of old locks without modifying the existing structure.

• Multiple operation modes: Available in two operation styles—tool-free (direct handle rotation) and key/tool operated (e.g., triangle, square, slot, hex key, etc.)—to meet different security requirements.
